Americhristian

I think there ought to be a distinction made between Christians today because there is such a huge schism forming under the umbrella and the outside world is pretty clueless.  They have no idea how to call us except to point out the hypocrisy in the mainstream church culture and their republicanism (“George Bushism”).

What we have is mainstream big church culture on one side. They are typically staunch conservative, Republican, Sean Hannity listening, Superbowl fan, gay joke cracking (lisp talking..), pro-life with strong anti-abortion rhetoric, Braveheart loving, weddings are not family friendly, wait until you are 30 before having children, college going or graduated, middle to upper class Christian.

Across the isle stands the Bible believing student of Christ, who usually gets judged as angry and judgmental all the time, but who is actually just outraged that the Bible is being trampled on by secularism inside the church.

It is unfortunate, but why do we have the difference?  Oughtn’t the term Christian simply be associated with an individual who interprets the issues of life through the lens of Scripture AND seeks a relationship with the LORD Jesus Christ through its pages?  It seems that the Americhristian lives a secular life in almost every aspect of life: politics, education, children, sports, procreation, etc. except that mainstream church culture pushes this relationship with Christ as somehow important.  I say “somehow” because no one knows how to use the love letter to us on the issues!  The walk goes something like this: “don’t look at porn, go vote for gee-dubya, faith alone in Jesus Christ.”  On the other side of the isle, a Biblical Christian life is totally and completely given over to God: not just some of the time and not just on some of the issues.  There aren’t just a few important things we need to focus on.  It is all important and the Bible doesn’t just talk about some of the issues!

The Americhristian doesn’t know why he voted for godless gee-dubya from a context of God’s word or let alone from a godly constitutional perspective which is the LAW of the land.  Pornography to him is the most important issue– oh wait there is abortion (he forgot about the mass murder going on everyday in this country), but he doesn’t practice what he preaches because he’s waiting until he is thirty and has a steady income before he has children because you know what? God isn’t in control of his life: he is.  The hypocrisy of it all is Americhristianity doesn’t have children for the same reasons people abort them–  Hypocrites!  We have committed the sin in our hearts as Jesus put it when we actively avoid procreation for selfish reasons.  God struck down Onan in Gensis for the same reason of avoiding procreation: the very first command God gives man in the Bible.  Martin Luther said contraception was worse than adultery or incest.  John Calvin said contraception was murder because it prevented the life that would be.  Yet, the uneducated masses of the church building hold these two up as church heroes and founders taken out of context.

Americhristians will never successfully impact the issue of abortion if they continue to murder children in their hearts.  The issue of secularism and moral decline will never disappear if Americhristians keep electing godless men like “christian” George W. Bush, who did nothing to stop abortion, waged illegal wars, and spent billions of deficit dollars via an unbiblical monetary system.  Bible believers will continue to leave the big fat church building if church is from 8:15-12:45 and “don’t be late” because you’ll miss the Holy Spirit and get frowns from the suits as you enter from the back!

But its too late.  Bible believing Christians who are sitting across the isle have decided to get up and walk out of these Babylonian institutes we call the church.  Do you know what these students of Christ are finding?  Freedom.

A distinction needs to be made between Americhristians and Bible Believing Students of Christ because they really are two different types of people.

  1. I can easily admit to when I am in error, simply because I am human and have made mistakes in the pass and pretty sure I will again, yet maybe because I have learned to educate myself before I become so self-righteousness to tell others of their “so-called” sin of using tools to prevent an unwanted birth of a child and didn’t Jesus say something about taking the log out of our your eyes, before you try to take the speak out of another’s? (I leave u to look up the chapter & verse, yet u and I both know it’s in the word of God)

Now please try to educate yourself about the very common knowledge the Roman’s used birth-control, as in a condemn during the times of Christ – then WHY didn’t He ever mentioned it and say it was sin or going agaist God’s to use them? Also, please don’t try to answer because He didn’t know or was un-aware of the use of condemns. Jesus Christ NEVER mentioned them because there isn’t anything anti-moral about using them!

    • Jesus did address the issue in at least one place explicitly.

Consider Matthew 19:12, “For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are also eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. He who is able to accept this, let him accept it.”

Consider also Genesis 1:28, God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

This is the very first command of God. Martin Luther calls it more than a command- a holy ordinance. Contraception by implication hinders this ordinance of God.

In as much as you were created man so also are you created to be fruitful. I’m not sure why we are arguing about this? If you are a believer in God Almighty take His word and believe it.

  3. […] society actually commits the bloody act and we do it in exactly the same ways!  How is it that we Americhristians call abortion the most pressing issue in America today, politically, and yet abort c…?  We put our selfish desires, needs, wants, and fears in front of pro-creation.  We are so far […]
