UK court rules Christian parents not suitable foster parents – Roanoke Homeschooling | Examiner.com.

“Christian homeschoolers enjoy the freedom in America to educate their children according to the values they hold dear. This freedom to disseminate values of faith and education, however, is being challenged in many parts of the world, particularly by a treaty called the Convention on the Rights of the Child and by a growing hostility to Christianity. In Sweden, for example, Christian homeschoolers Christer and Annie Johanssen are still fighting to regain custody of their son, who was taken from them by Swedish authorities almost two years ago and placed into foster care, simply because they homeschooled him. In 2008, German child welfare officials took custody of six of the children of Christian homeschoolers Johannes and Cornelia Gorber, while the parents were not home, because German courts have ruled that homeschooling is “an abuse of parental rights“.The children remained in foster care for seven months, until the court restored custody to the parents with the requirement that they enroll the children in public school.”
